I am Charlotte I like making Batiks. Batik is the traditional method or technique of decorating textile through dye resistance in which designs are created by preventing specific parts of the fabric from being exposed to dyes (colors), Batik making is important because it adds value to the plain fabric and makes it more marketable and profitable. It promotes industries, improves lifestyle in the community as well as a source of income and employment. I enjoy making batik with various shapes such as samosa, mji kati, rip-like and mkusanyiko. Since we live in science and technology when I complete my studies I will start my own batik fabric industry.
